BSI Group, Covent Garden

Leaflike partnered with BSI Group (British Standards Institute) in 2025 to transform their prestigious head office at The Acre into a vibrant, wellness-focused environment.

The Brief

Spanning two floors of high-end office space in Covent Garden, Leaflike were briefed to align designs with the FITWEL certification framework, supporting health, environmental sustainability, and biodiversity through intelligent plant selection and layout.

The Solution

We created a living installation that supports improved indoor air quality and enhanced mental wellbeing.

A curated selection of live plants enhances air quality and mental wellbeing across office zones, creating a biophilic connection between people and nature. Using a combination of  fixed troughs and freestanding pots, we built a textured interior scheme with tall and structural Ficus elastica, Monstera deliciosa and Strelitzia, layered against the softer shapes of Aglaonema ‘Stripes’, Schefflera and Kentia Palm.

These species were specifically selected for resilience, air purification, humidity control, and their ability to create a naturalistic, calming atmosphere.

We also worked with them to increase urban biodiversity.

An interactive herb garden on the exterior terrace, provides a rich, multisensory space for BSI’s team, but also acts as a miniature ecosystem for insects, birds, and other wildlife.

Each herb was selected for both its aesthetic and functional value, offering fragrant oils, edible foliage, and active support for local pollinators. We selected Rosemary, Thyme, Mint, Lavender and Sage.

Additionally, we implemented a digital layer using QR codes across the planting scheme. This enables the BSI team to indulge their curiosity about the plants around them, turning their workspace into an educational ecosystem.

The Result

BSI Group now enjoys a dynamic, health-promoting office landscape that reflects their commitment to excellence and sustainability. The project stands as a benchmark for how intelligent planting can elevate corporate environments.
