Fun Fact Friday, Wk 41

Hallo All

Ready for a long weekend ? Here’s your fun fact to get you started 🙂

This week were talking about Snapdragons. Snapdragons belong to the Plantaginaceae family, the family of plantains, and there are about 40 species, they are also a cousin of the Foxglove and Speedwell flowers.

Snapdragon flowers resemble a dragon, and if you squeeze the sides, the dragon’s mouth will appear to open and close. Their botanical name, Antirrhinum majus, means “like a snout” and refers to the flower’s resemblance to a calf’s nose.

Enjoy your weekends…..see you next week !
