There are over 20,000 species of edible plants in the world, yet fewer than 20 species now provide 90% of our food. A large percentage of our plant-sourced protein and calories come from just three : maize, rice and wheat.
However, there are hundreds of less well known edible plants from all around the world which are both delicious and nutritious.
Did you know that the Dandelion is in fact entirely edible, the flower, the leaves and even the roots and Red Clover makes a yummy snack and is considered the tastiest of all Clovers.
