LEAFLIKE SUSTAINABLE GOALS

Our goal is to remain the hospitality specialist for biophilic design.

Our commitment and responsibility is to provide the best advice for the products you need to achieve your sustainable goals.

We are pleased to share with you our progress towards becoming a carbon neutral company.

  • We use Ecovadis

Leaflike started a partnership with Ecovadis in February 2022.
Recommended by Hilton Group, we are pleased to announce our Silver and Gold ratings.

We look forward to sharing our goals as we continue our journey.

  • We offset our carbon emissions from vehicles

On average we drive up to 450 miles a day between our plant technicians attending our customer sites.

This equates to 1 tonne of CO2 per vehicle each month or 3 tonnes for all our vehicles.

We have therefore donated £100 to the World Land Trust, Buy an Acre scheme to offset in advance our carbon emissions for 2022.

  • We plant trees when you buy eco-friendly products

Whether its live planting, preserved moss or a herb garden,

Leaflike are committed to plant a tree for every sustainable element in your order.

Here are a list of elements, but not limited to:

– live planting in an eco planter
– replica planting in an eco planter
– herb garden
– preserved moss wall
– replica green wall

We consider replica planting to be an offset with maintenance as we are not regularly driving to the venue.

Fresh floral displays are not in our sustainable list due to the high maintenance and longevity of the product.

  • Track our progress

Our tree planting partner plants mangroves, one of the most effective and economic methods of offsetting carbon emissions.
Each mangrove tree removes approximately 0.3 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere over its growth life, approximately 25 years.

  • We support a circular economy

Leaflike are able to support a circular economy by bringing back products once they have finished their time on display.

This applies to green walls as well as the more traditional floral arrangements
and seasonal changeover maintenance contracts created for ongoing customers.

Whether its preserved florals, recycled planters, lifelike green walls and even moss,
the priority is always to reuse and recycle products where possible.

  • Take a look at our office and studio

We are located on a trading estate in Oxfordshire, nevertheless there is scrub land around our building and a stream,

providing nice views for staff and a location to walk during breaks.

There is lavender across the large parking area, down each and every bay encouraging biodiversity.

We have compostable plastic wrap, brown tape and boxes are used for packaging.

We have eco-friendly bamboo pottery, ocean plastic pots and hydroculture planting.

The studio space allows staff to create moss walls and preserved floral displays.
